“The only exposure the general public has to employee relations is the coverage of strikes and protests, as trade union members put a voice to their disputes. The public listens to the rhetoric of different political parties and the distorted arguments, and they form their own view based on these arguments and any disruption they have had to their own lives”. According to Elizabeth Aylott (2018)

"Employee Relations" to maintain a good relationship between employee and employer.is used This helps in creating positive employee progress by giving a new face to HR.

Trust is built on the relationship and can be used to manage employee retention as well as keep absenteeism to a minimalizing.

the definition of employee relations refers to an organization's efforts to create and maintain a positive relationship with its employees. By maintaining positive, constructive employee relations, organizations hope to keep employees loyal and more engaged in their work.

Employee relations teams need to cover almost every part of their colleagues’ experiences in and out of the office.

“Segal added that the primary risk of asking employees to write a response is that "it may encourage some employees to allege the concerns raised about their performance are for discriminatory, retaliatory or other unlawful reasons. The middle ground is to make clear that employees always can respond in writing to their appraisal. But creating opportunities for dialogue throughout the process as opposed to employees needing to wait until the end”. According to Sharlyn LaubySeptember (2022)

 Addressing tensions around health and safety, taking a stand on important social issues, supporting career growth, and learning opportunities – to name just a few of the concerns.

 

 “Employee relations is the managerial activity that involves establishing and maintaining the positive employee-employer relationships that contribute to satisfactory productivity, motivation, morale, and discipline, and to maintaining a positive, productive, and cohesive work environment. Whether you’re recruiting employees, managing union organizing campaigns, asking employees to work overtime, or doing some other tasks, it obviously makes sense to have employees “on your side.” Many employers, therefore, endeavor to build positive employee relations” Dessler,G.(2015)
